Huzhou has a well-developed water and land transportation network due to its superior geographical conditions. There are the Hangzhou-Huzhou-Nanjing fast highway, the country road 104 which crosses the continent from the north to the south and the country road 318 which spans the continent from the east to the west as well as the three railways of Anhui-Huzhou-Hangzhou, Xinyi of Jiangsu-Changxing of Huzhou, and Zhapu-Huzhou, which connect the two national railway arteries, the Longhai railway and the Huhang railway. The waterway route from Changxing of Huzhou to Shanghai and the highway Shanghai-Jiangsu-Huzhou-Anhui which are under construction intersect in Huzhou City. The “four vertical, three horizontal and three connective” highway network predominated by fast highway and national and provincial artery highway, which passes through the counties and cities and connects the economic circle of Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou and Anhui, etc, outside, has formed a scale and realizes the “one-hour highway traffic circle” of Huzhou City.

Railway

The Xuanhang Railway passes through the whole boundary of the city from the north to the south. There are six trains by way of Huzhou every day. The main passenger transport stations include Changxing Station (Zhicheng Town of Changxing County), Huzhou South Station (it is six kilometers away from the urban areas of Huzhou. The bus route 6 goes directly there.), Moganshan Station (it is located in Wukang Town of Deqing County, half an hour’s drive away from the Moganshan scenic area. The fare is 8 yuan.)

Highway

Setting out from Hangzhou

Huzhou East Coach Station has Kuaike (express coach) heading for Hangzhou, which runs every half an hour from 6:20 to 18:20. There are also flow line coaches heading for Hangzhou North Coach Station, which runs every ten to twenty minutes with a fare of 18 yuan from 6:30 to 18:00.

The Kuaike heading for the coach station on the Qiujiang Road of Hanghai runs every twenty minutes. The fare for ordinary coaches is 20 yuan and that for air-conditioned ones is 32 yuan. The trip takes about two and a half hours to three hours. The coach stops at Nanxun on the way.
