Hangzhou Botanical Garden, situated in Tayuanling, northwest to the West Lake, was built in 1956 with a total area of over 200 hectares. It is a gardenesque botany study base which also opens to public. There are over three thousand kinds of plants from home and abroad.

Besides, Hangzhou Botanical Garden also equips hammocks for relaxing and a golf course.
