Ke’erle is at a distance of 470 kilometers from Urumqi to the north (the special line tourist bus directly for Ku’erle in the south station of railway in Wulumuqi is available), around 280 kilometers from Kuche to the west and 440 kilometers fromRuoqiang to the south, with two federal highways of No.314 and No.215 passingthrough. Transport here is extremely developed and has become the hub of communications of the southern territory.

Air Transport

Ku’erle is the main aviation center of the southern territory, and round-trip scheduled flights between Ku’erle and many cities like Beijing, Jinan and Chengdu have been put to use. Every Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday you can take plane from here to Beijing, every Friday to Chengdu and every Saturday to Jinan.

Highway

After crossing Tianshan, you can reach Shihezi, Kelamayi and Yining; it leads to Akesu and Kashen to the west; to the south, via Ruoqiang, you can get to Ge’ermu of Qinghai province; the coaches directly reaching Yanqi and Wulumuqi are available everyday; from Ku’erle city to Bositeng Lake, Hejing, Luntai, Ruoqiang and other places, you can just take coaches; the first newly built road in the desert all over the world starts from Luntai county to Takelamagan desert, finally reaching Minfeng county and Hetian city.

Ku’erle is 457 kilometers far from Urumqi and there are many round-trip coaches via Tuokexun and Tianshan everyday. At the passenger coach station of Ku’erle, the first coach to Urumqi starts at 10:00 and there is one every one hour.

Since there have not got some buses towards some scenic spots, you have to rent a car to go there sometimes. There is a car-renting team on the Jianshe Road of the city proper, and the telephone is: 2020525

Urban Transport System

The price for the bus in Ku’erle is quite cheap and it only costs you one yuan to get on the bus. You can find the routes to various downtown areas at the train station; while the number of buses is limited and they might also not the one you need, it would be better for you to take a taxi if you go out for some business. The price of the taxi here is cheap and it usually costs one yuan to take you around the city. In addition, you can consider taking a walk if it is not very far since the city is not big.
