Will everything be closed over Chinese New Year?

Hello to all you wonderful people,can you please help? I will be in China during the coming Chinese Spring Festival maybe Beijing and Shanghai. Are all the shops, restaurants, tourist spots, shopping malls etc will be closed? thanks

Adam, the answer to your question is "no". Most of the shops, restaurants, tourist attractions , shopping malls will be open. However, some restaurants may have limited working hours over the holiday.
