When is the best time to visit Jiuzhaigou and Huanglong?

It's really hard to say. People may say autumn is the best time in terms of scenery and weather. However, I don't suggest people to be there at that time of year because of the huge tourist crowds. The chinese love to travel to Jiuzhaigou and HUanglong areas and most of them go there in autumn. YOu must not like rub elbows with other tourists in a scenic area. It's not exaggerated at all but the true scene reported by some travelers.

My friend and I were in the area last winter. It's freezing at that time and to our disappointment, several lakes were empty. So if you want to go, aviod winter.
