Hi, i took the upstream cruise from Yichang to Chongqing last year. The scenery along the river is very attractive and the shore excursions are nice, well arranged. It's a bit windy on the boat.

1. Downstream is faster and take less time
2.Downstream has no night sailing while upstream sometimes have which means you may miss something interesting at night
3.Downstream cruise usually costs more than upstream cruising.
