The Nyingchi Hotel

Location: The Nyingchi Hotel is strategically located in No. 25 Shuangyong Road Bayi New Village, Bayi Township Nyingchi. Bayi, about 3,100 meters above the sea level, is the lowest town in Tibet, which is noted as “the Jiangnan of Tibet” for its mild climate and abundant products. It is also the only passage to the No. 1 Canyon- the Yaluzhangbu Canyon in the world. In the neighborhood of the hotel there are a 4A (the highest national ranking) scenic zone –the Basong Lake, “the Oriental Switzerland”- the Lulang Forest Sea scenic zone, the Cypress King (the tree is 2,500 years old) scenic zone as well as the Lama Mountain Temples among others.

Brief Introduction: The Nyingchi Hotel, the only three-star hotel for foreign visitors in this prefecture, is among the 62 projects contributed to the founding anniversary of the Tibetan Autonomous Region. Its construction was aided by the Province of Canton.

Facilities: The hotel boasts 74 rooms ranging from standard room, 3 person room, and business suite to Tibetan style suite and 138 beds in total. It is the most luxurious and best facilitated hotel in Nyingchi Prefecture in the mean time. The six restaurants offer 300 seats and well-prepared cuisines of Cantonese, Tibetan, Sichuan style as well as genuine western food. Other facilities include a barber’s shop, business center, Internet café, teahouse, pub and shopping arcade for Tibetan specialties and art crafts.

Rooms: All the guest rooms have private wash room, electronic room card, 24 hours hot and cold water, cable TV, IDD and DDD, fire alarm and air conditioner. Besides the above-mentioned facilities, luxury standard room and suites also provide safe, electric water boiling pot, hair dryer, body weight balance, refrigerator, mini bar and the like.

The Nyingchi Post Hotel

Location: It is strategically located in the crossing where the Linying Road and Hong Kong Road meet in the Bayi Township. Thanks to its favorable situation, the hotel caters to its guests for both leisure and business needs.

Brief Introduction:The hotel was opened in 2001 as a 3 star-rated hotel that serves both tourist and business visitors with good food and accommodations.

Facilities: The hotel is proud of its 65 well-designed standard rooms, 5 luxurious suites, 6 restaurants of distinct styles, and a multi-functional hall that caters 100 people each time. The Guest House of the Nyingchi Prefecture

Location: It is at No. 12 Zhuhai road Bayi Town.

Brief Introduction: Construction in 1989, the hotel was officially open for service in May 1990. Covering a land area of 9,576 square meters and a construction area of 5,347square meters, it is the first hotel qualified for serving foreign guests in the prefecture of Nyingchi.

Facilities: In November 2001 the hotel was entirely restored to meet the star hotel standards. Currently it has 61 rooms, among which, there are 3 suites, 15 luxurious standard rooms, 30 intermediary standard rooms and 13 ordinary standard rooms. With 400 seats the dining hall offers great Chinese (primarily Sichuan and Cantonese Cuisines) and western food. In addition to its superior food and beverage guests can also enjoy great recreation and health facilities such as sauna and body massage. This hotel is particularly ideal for tourists groups thanks to its comprehensive facilities and services.

The Nyingchi Garden Hotel

Location: The Garden Hotel sits at the crossing where the bustling Zhuhai Road and Macau Road meet, No. 2 Zhuhai Road Bayi Township. It is only 2 and 5 minutes drive away from the downtown Xiamen square and the Passengers Center, which is therefore particularly favorable for business guests.

Brief Introduction: It is a domestically invested and managed hotel for international tourists in accordance with international star rating criteria.

The New Century Hotel

Location: It lies in the Shuijinyuan Road, Bayi Township.

Location: It stands in Quezhou Road, Lang County Nyingchi Prefecture.

Tips
1. The Bayi Town never lacks hotels and shops.

2. Due to the delayed development of tourist transportation, the hotel and accommodation service in the Nyingchi Prefecture also lags behind. Hotels and hostels are normally found in such transportation hinges like the township of Bayi. Major hotels in this area are the Nyingchi Hotel, the Guest House of the Nyingchi Prefecture and the Nyingchi Post Hotel etc. In Basongcuo the New Holiday Resort is a good option. In the Grand Canyon Area one can choose to stay with the locals while bearing in mind that when in Rome, do as a Roman. If you want to live in a tent you should note that due to the different air pressure, the water boiling point is well below 100 degree Celsius. So the tourists are strongly advised to bring along clean drinking water.
