Tianjin Binhai International Airport (ZBTJ) is located to the east of the urban area, in Dongli District, Tianjin, which is 13 kilometers away from the center of Tianjin City. As one of the biggest modern international airport in China, there are 30 odd airlines.
China International Airline Company Tianjin Ticket Office is located at No. 113, Nanjing Road, Heping District, Tianjin. You could not only book ticket there, but also get free ticket delivery service. There is a regular bus line from the ticket office to the airport, 10 yuan RMB/one.
In addition, there is also a regular bus line running from Tianjin to Beijing Capital Airport, 70 yuan RMB/one. During 7:00-10:00 am, and 13:00-16:00 pm, there are 4 regular buses leaving for Beijing.

There are several railway stations in the city, Tianjin Railway Station being the principal one. It was built in 1888, initially; the station was located at Wangdao Zhuang. The station was later moved to Laolong Tou on the banks of the Hai He River in 1892, so the station was renamed Laolong Tou Railway Station. The Tianjin Railway Station is also locally called the 'East Station', due to its geographical position. Tianjin West Railway Station and Tianjin North Railway Station are also major railway stations in Tianjin. There is also Tanggu Railway Station is located in the important port area of Tanggu District, and TEDA Railway Station located in TEDA, to the north of Tanggu. There are several other railway stations in the city. Construction on a Beijing-Tianjin high-speed rail began on July 4, 2005, and is scheduled to be completed in 2007.

As the biggest man-made port in China, Tianjin Port is located at the west shore of Bohai, which is also the only way going up to Beijing by water. Tianjin Port Harbor Station is equipped with advanced facility. There are two floors on the chief building with 9 ship waiting halls, ticket hall and restaurant on the west and luggage room and consignation room on the east.
There are three lines of national regular ship setting off from Tianjin Harbor: From Tianjin to Longkou, Yantai and Dalian. Two lines of International Regular ship: From Tianjin to Kobe, Japan; From Tianjin to Inchon, Korea.

Metro
Construction work on the Tianjin Metro started on July 4, 1970. It was the second metro to be built in China and commenced service in 1984. The total length of track is 7.4 kilometers. The metro service was suspended on October 9, 2001 and is currently being rebuilt. This new metro will be called "Tianjin Metro Line 1". It is scheduled to be finished in the later half of 2005. The track will be extended to 26.188 kilometers and there will be a total of 22 stations. Previously, there were 8 stations. Several new metro lines are planned. Construction work on Line 2 and Line 3 will begin in late 2004.
The initiating station of Tianjin Metro is located at the crossing of Nanjin Road and Xinhua Road. The metro runs along Nanjing Road to the west, passing through Yingkou Dao, Anshan Dao, Haiguang Temple, and then turns north, passing through Nankai Sanma Road, Xima Road, Dafeng Road, and arrives at Jinpu Railway West Railway Station. There are 8 stops along the line. The operation time is from 5:30am to 22:30pm. Ticket price: One yuan RMB. The metros on this line are running on 15-minute headway. The whole journey costs 12 minutes.
There is also a light railway line in the city, the LRT Binhai Line. The line runs between downtown Tianjin and TEDA (Tianjin Economic Development Area) in the seaside region. The eastern part of the line began service on March 28, 2004. The western part of the line is scheduled to be completed in 2006.
Public Bus
The Tianjin bus network was created in 1904, and was the first city to have its own city-wide bus system in China. There were 402 bus lines in the city as of 2004. Most of the bus lines in urban area are Ticket-Vending-Machine Bus, and the ticket price is from 1 to 2 yuan RMB, except the ticket to Developing Zone, which is 4 to 5 yuan RMB (no matter bus or railway).
In addition, there is a tourism bus line, starting from Pingjin War Memorial to Tianjin Steel Plant, which cost 85 minutes. Along the line you could enjoy the attractions: Pingjin War Memorial, Ziya River, Guyi Street, Ancient Culture Street, Confucian Temple, Food Street, Inns Street, Yi Palace, Former Residence of Celebrities, Financial Street, and Historical Museum etc. This bus line starts out at 8:00 am and the last bus is 6:30 pm.

Taxi
There are taxis serving day and night at the airport, railway station, hotels restaurants and attractions. The fee per kilometers is between one to two yuan RMB, and the fee of starting is between 7 to 10 yuan RMB, which all depends on the car style.
If you take a taxi to Tangu, you’d better take Xiali Taxi, which is cheaper than Dafa Taxi (Do not take taxi around the railway station). Before you getting into the taxi, you’d better bargain with the taxi driver.
Bicycle
In some hotels in Tianjin, you could also rent a bicycle. Usually, the fee is four yuan RMB per hour. Then you could travel around all the highways and byways in Tianjin by bike.
