In ancient times, North Canal was called the Imperial River, and is an important river in Tianjin. The North Canal consists of four theme parks: Luanshui Park, North Ocean Park, Imperial River Park, and Entertaining Park. The green trees, clean rivers, quiet surroundings, and wonderful flowers all contribute to the magnificent scenery.

Various water culture exhibitions sit along the bank of the North Canal. Enjoy the giant group carvings of historic persons associated with water conservancy, as well as other sculptures reflecting China’s culture related to water. North Canal has also been named the first water culture river in China.
