The photographs of Qinghai Lake are fascinating. Could people swim in the Qinghai Lake ?

The lake is actually very attractive. It looks like a glittering blue gemstone setting among the alpine prairie. I indeed have heard people swimming in the lake several times but I do not think it a good idea to swim in that lake considering safety.
