I heard that you need to have a "expert certificate" in order to be hired by a Chinese state run company, otherwise the Chinese Government will not give permision for the company or school to hire any foreigners to work in China. I don't know whether this is the same case for privately owned company. I know some private schools in Yangshuo, they hire native english speakers to be their teachers, I don't think they stick to "certificate of education". Well, check out their web site: www.ysabc.net or contact them: 86-773-8821790 8826924 fax:86-773-8821790, and wish you good luck.

Well, If you are a college student and university teacher,it is much easier for you to work as a teacher in the schools run by the governments. As for the private language training company, may be you just need to past their interviews and there is no strict certificate requirement. There are many such training center in Beijing,Shanghai, and Hangzhou.
