  There is no airport in Bazhong. If you go there by plane, you have to fly to Guangyuan, Nanchong, Chengdu, Hanzhong, etc. and then transfer to buses for reaching Bazhong.

No trains are available to Bazhong, but you can take trains to Hanzhong, Guangyuan, Dazhou or Nanchong, where you can transfer to express buses to Bazhong.

Expressways

Highway communication is so convenient in Bazhong that there are roads radiated to all the neighboring cities. At present, construction of the expressway from Bazhong to Guangyuan has started. Moreover, the expressways or high-level roads from Bazhong to Nanchong, to Dazhou, and to Hanzhong in Shanxi Province are under planning.

It will take about 5 hours to reach Bazhong by taking buses in North Gate Bus Station in Chengdu. If you drive your car, you can go Chengdu-Nanchang Highway to Bazhong. The whole journey will cost you about 3 hours by taking buses to Bazhong in Guangyuan, Dazhou, Nanchong, Hanzhong.

Urban Traffic

Buses

Few bus lines are available except on the main streets, and station wagons and taxis are the major transportation means.

 Taxis

The charge of the taxis in the city proper is quite cheap, 2 yuan for taking Aotuo and three yuan for Linyang, as long as you travel within the city. Besides, there is Chang’an Minibus which can hold 5 to 6 persons; one yuan is charged to arrive everywhere in the city proper. If you want to go out of the urban area, you can bargain with the taxi driver. Within 200 kilometers, the four-seat charted Santana is charged around 400 yuan, and the seven-seat charted Chang’an Star is charged 350 yuan or so.
