Transportation

Dezhou City occupies a superior location. It connects Beijing and Tianjin to the north; faces Jinan City to the south; joins Shijiazhuang to the west; and meets Shengli Oil Field to the east, which enjoys a fame of ‘the gateway to the capital’. Beijing-Shanghai Railway crosses the city from north to south, while Dezhou-Shijiazhuang Railway crossing from east to west. Dezhou-Yantai Railway is under construction. State line 104 goes through the city. Jinan-Dezhou Express Highway and Jinan-Liaocheng Express Highway ended the history of no highways inside the city. The historic Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal flows through our city. Projects are to be performed to conduct the south-to-north water transfer to replay its significant role of the age old canal.

Currently, Dezhou City has no airport. Usually an hour driving will take you to Jinan International Airport where you can take planes there.

Rails

Tianjin-Pukou railway extends through 4 counties (cities or districts), namely Decheng, Pingyuan, Yucheng, and Qihe. Starting from here, Dezhou-Shijiazhuang Railway runs directly to the coal base in Shanxi Province. Beijing-Shanghai railway crosses Dezhou, too. As the first class classification station, Dezhou railway station has 27 specific lines lead to the downtown. With the storage of 3820mu (1mu=0.164 acre), most of the coal from Shanxi Province and wood from the northeast China choose here as the transit station.

Junction station named Railway Station Square can be reached by every bus lines. Dezhou Railway Station locates 50m away to the west of it, and 50m away to the north of exit (entry) of the railway.
