Setting up business meetings around public holidays in China

I am organizing a group of university people (professors) to travel to China next year during the second half of May 2009. We plan to meet with Chinese business and government leaders. I just learned that the Dragon Boat Festival (a new public holiday in China) is going to be on Thursday, May 28 2009. I would like to know if it is the custom for people to take the following day (Friday) off as well to make it a long 4-day weekend? I am concerned that the people we want to meet with will not be around on the Friday as well, practically cutting short our ability to meet with people. Are my concerns well-founded? Any input or experience in similar situations would be appreciated. Thanks!

Usually people only have one day off for the Dragon Boat Festival. I do not think the holiday will include the next friday.
