Is it safe to go to Guangzhou by myself? I'm a girl and want to pay a visit to Guangzhou. Someone told me that Guangzhou is not a secured city. Is that true?

Guangzhou is notorious throughout the country for its horrible situation of social security. Street robbery happens regularly. I do not think it safe to travel alone in Guangzhou, especially for a girl.

You'd better travel there in company. Guangzhou is not so safe as the rest of China.

Well, I've been there, and I'm still alive..
If you are in Guangzhou, you should try every means to protect yourself from being hurt..
Don't try to deny a city for its security problem..
