Hi, iris, Shiyan is my hometown! i''m so glad to know that World Traditional Wushu Art will be hold in Shiyan! It should be there. You know, Wudang Mountain--the base of China''s Taoism and also taoist Gongfu is so close to Shiyan.

By the way, 2008 3th World Traditional Wushu (Chinese Martial Arts) Championship is to be held in Shiyan October 29. If it matches with your itinerary in chance and interests you, never miss it!

Hello, williamh7093, it is about 1400kilometers from Beijing to Shiyan. So far there is no airport in Shiyan City for it is located in thickly forested mountains. The quickist way is that firstly take plane from Beijing to Wuhan, which takes about two hours: and then travel to Shiyan from Wuhan by train T372, which takes about five hours.
