Transportation                      

National highway 110, Pingshi highroad and the highway to Taixi East Bank Airport link Dawukou district, Shizuishan district and Shitanjing district together, forming a transportation network extending to all direction, with Dawukou district as its centre, where Shizuishan city government body lies. The channel in Shuizuishan formed by passing-by Yellow River is 146.9kilometers long and is open to navigation. Shuizuishan Yellow River Bridge, Shuizuishan Ferry, the floating bridge Taole Ferry, together with railways extending to all directions connect Ningxia with Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region and Shaanxi. Besides, Baolan railway, national highway 109 and 110 pass through this city. In all, Shuzuishan is a hub of communication with convenient airlines, railways and highways.

Railway

Baolan railway passes through Shizuishan from south to north. Some special feeder railways, such as Ruqigou feeder railway are well-developed.

Highway

Two national highways—national highway 109 and 110 and Shizhong highway run across Shizuishan. You are able to go anywhere within the city by well-developed provincial highways, feeder highways and special highways.

Public Vehicles in the City

There are 26 passenger transport companies within the city. It’s very convenient to take a taxi for it stops when you make a thumb. On the top of each taxi, there is a sign light imprinted TAXI. The first number of the license number of all taxis is 8. The basic fare for each taxi is 3yuan RMB regardless what type of taxis it is. Passengers have to bare all fees charged by tollbooths when taking a taxi.
