Transportation in Liaoning develops rapidly and has established comparatively complete transportation network consisting of flights, railway and highway.

There are 6 civil airports in Liaoning province: in Shenyang, Dalian, Dandong, Jinzhou, Liaoyang and Zhaoyang, among which there are two international airports-Shenyang Taoxian Airport and Dalian Zhoushuizi airport.

Liaoning possess the densest railroad network of the whole country. Taking Shenyang as the center, those railroads extend in all directions in a radioactive shape, they fuction as the ligament and bridge to link the three northeast provinces and inner Mongolia and the inner regions of the Great Wall. There are many trunk lines in Liaoning such as Jingha, Shenda, Shenji and Shendan, as well as some branch lines for the communication inside and outside of the province.
Jingha Line: Railway line from Beijing to Haerbin
It begins from Beijing in the south and ends at Haerbin in the north.
Shenda Line: Railway line from Shenyang to Dalian
It begins from Shenyang in the north and ends at Dalian in the south, covering a span of 400 kilometers.
Shenyang Line: Railway line from Shenyang to Jilin
It begins from Shenyang in the west ends at Jilin in the east, covering a length of 446 kilometers.
Shendan Line: Railway line from Shenyang to Dandong
It begins from Shenyang in the north and ends at Dandong in the south.

We have built five highways: Jingshen(Beijing---Shenyang), Shenda(Shenyang---Dalian), Shenben(Shenyang---Benxi), Shenha(Shenyang---Haerbin), and Shenfu(Shenyang---Fushun)and the city highway through Shenyang. Besides, the Yellow Sea highway from Jinzhou, Dalian to Dandong has already been built to Zhuanghe.
Jingshen Highway (Beijing---Shenyang)
It begins from the Sifang Bridge, the East Fourth Ring Road, Beijing in the west and ends at the Beiliguan cloverleaf junction on around-the-city highway of Shenyang, covering 658 kilometers totally.
Shenha Highway(Shenyang---Haerbin)
It begins from the Wangjiagou cloverleaf junction on around-the-city highway of Shenyang , and ends at Haerbin in the north.
Shenda Highway(Shenyang---Dalian)
It begins from the Jinbaotai cloverleaf junction on the city highway through Shenyang in the north, and ends at Nanguan mountain range in the south.

Dalian Harbour is the number one harbour in Northeast China, and it is ice-free all the year round. There are passenger liners to Tianjin, Qinhuangdao, Penglai, Yantai, Weihai, Shagnhai and Inchon in Korean. Besides, Dandong harbour in Yalu estuary and the Yingkou harbour in Liao river estuary are also important harbours in the Yellow Sea and Bo Hai.
