Brief Introduction

Longshou Mountain, close to Cai river in the east and seeing Liao river in the west, wiggledly runs several kilometers, like a long dragon. When climbing up Longshou Mountain, tourists can have a bird eye’s view of the urban region where modern skyscrapers are here and there and of Cai River which has a nice scenery. Among the mountain, ridges and peaks are covered with thick forest, green and big trees are anywhere, birds happily chirps and flowers are in great blossoms. When the autumn comes, red leaves dye the whole mountain purple, and no place in North Liaoning can be compared with it. In 1686, the Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty visited here and wrote poems for it when he traveled the east. In the spring of 1910, Premier Zhou Enlai who studied in Tieling often climbed Longshou Mountain, and said that Longshou was the first mountain he had climbed in his life. Longshou Mountain, now a provincial scenic area still maintaining lots of spots of historic interests and one listed in Chinese Places of Interest Dictionary, is a bright pearl of the famous historic city-Tieling.
