Former Residence of General Zhangxueliang also called Marshal Zhang's Mansion, Old Marshal Mansion, Young Marshal Mansion and Chang Hsueh-liang Former Residential Exhibition Museum is the office and residential place of Zhangxue lin (Chang Tso-lin), the former Fengxi Warlord, father of Zhangxueliang and Zhang Xue Liang. The complex was built in 1914 and it covers an area of 3.6 hectares.
There are four coutyards in the complex inside which are many buildings built in a combining style of traditional Chinese, European and Janese. Big Green Building, a three-storey European-style green-brick and concrete building, is the place for Chang Tso-lin to deal with military affairs and receive important officials of China and from foreign countries after he promoted to the governor of northeast frontier defence. Chang Hsueh-liang once also handled official business there when he controlled northeast army.
