Hushan Mountain is generally known as Hu’er Mount. It gets the name because of the two parallel peaks standing straightly like two ears of a tiger and Hu’er in Chinese means tiger ears. The name “Hu’er Mount” was later changed into “Hushan Mountain” in Qing dynasty.
Hushan Mount covers an area of four square meters with the highest peak of 146.3 meters. On the top of the peak lies a sentry stage, on which you can appreciate clearly the scenery of Yizhou City in Korea, Shazhou County of Mashi City in Chinese Mainland, and Yalu River Bridge between Dandong City and Xinyi County.
It costs about ten minutes from the urban area to Hushan Mount. Hushan Mount in the future will become an integration of sightseeing, entertainment, vacation-spending and scientific research, widely favored by tourists at home and abroad.
