Geographic Location
Liaoning province lies in the southern part of the northeast region of China, bordering Democratic People's Republic of Korea with the Yalu River as the boundary line. In its northeast, it adjoins Jilin province, while in the west and in the southwest, it borders on inner Mongolia and Hebei province respectively, and in the south, it faces the Bohai sea and the Yellow sea. The total continental coastline is 2,920 kilometers, making up 11.5% of the country’s whole coastline. And the total area of the province is 148,000 square kilometers, covering 1.5% of the country’s total area.
