AviationZhenjiang has no airport. Therefore, if you want to take an airplane, you may get there by way of the Nanjing Lukou Airport or the Changzhou Benniu Airport. There are two shuffle buses going directly from Zhenjiang to the Nanjing Lukou Airport every day. Their departure time are respectively 9:00 and 14:30. The boarding spot is the Tiegongshui union ticket office of Zhenjiang City (No.288 East Zhongshan Road of Zhenjiang City). The buses return to the union ticket office every day at 12:00 and 14:30.

HighwayThe national highway artery within the borders has a length of 71.27 kilometers, for which Zhenjiang heads first among six large and medium-sized cities along the railway line and which is one third of the whole section of Jiangsu Province. Zhenjiang City is crisscrossed by two highways, of which the horizontal Huning highway may get directly to the Guangtang Bridge in the south of the urban areas by way of the Zhejiang branch railway and the vertical Yangli highway connects Zhenjiang and Yangzhou closely together through the Runyang and Changjiang Bridges, and runs southward and intersects with Huning highway. After reconstruction the national highway runs through the city from the east to the west and shunts the busy traffic on the Huning highway.
There are four coach stations in the urban areas of Zhenjiang, of which the most important one is Zhenjiang Highway Passenger Transport Center on the east side of the railway station. Most of the long-distance shuffle buses and Kuaile (express coach) start from this station.

WaterwayThe world famous “golden watercourse”, the Yangtze River, and the Jing-Hang Grand Canal intersects here. It also has three steam ferries on the Yangtze River, six watergates, nine highway junctions connected with each other and nine harbors with a capacity of more than one hundred thousand tons. Zhenjiang has an international open harbor. Now it has built 139 berths, of which 20 berths are above the level of ten thousand tons. The largest one is capable of mooring fifty thousand ton level watercrafts. The Zhenjiang harbor is the third largest harbors along the Yangtze River and one of the national key junction harbors.

The buses in Zhenjiang City are mostly self-service ticketing ones with a fare of one yuan. Apart from buses such as route 2 and 31, most cease to operate before 22:00. Moreover, Zhenjiang also has five night routes ranging from route 31 to route 35, which begin to operate around 18:30 and similarly cease to operate at 22:00.
Taxi
The starting fare of taxis is 7 yuan for the first three kilometers and 1.6 yuan for each additional kilometer. If the distance exceeds four kilometers, the fare is 2.4 yuan per kilometer. The passenger will not be charged for normal waiting time. If the passenger asks the driver to wait for more than five minutes, he or she will be charged 0.32 yuan per kilometer for waiting. During the period from eleven o’clock at night to five o’clock, the starting fare remains the same and the passenger is charged an additional 0.3 yuan per kilometer plus the normal unit price at night. Usually the taxi fare is negotiable.
