HI, which parts do you want to go. China is a big landmass and weather differs tremendous from region to region. For example, August may not a good time to visit places in south China such as the Guangxi, Guangdong, jiangsu regions because the weather is unbearably hot. But August is a gold time to travel to Tibet because of the comfortable weather condition.

anytime you go to China is OK. But if you want to a quiet environment, you can go to other place of China, but not Beijing. Because at that time, there are so many people in Beijing for olympic games.
