A brief introduction to the city:

Wulanchabu City means ‘the top of the red cliff’ in Mongilian. In the early years of Qing Dynasty, a meeting of sovereigns or deputies was held to form alliances at the Red Mountain Pass (at the foot of Daqingshan Mountain northeast of Hohhot City). It’s called Wu Alliance for short. The people here live in a compact community with the Mongolian nationality as the main body and Han nationaity as the majority. There is one district (Jining District), one city (Fengzhen City), four Qi Chayouqian Qi, Chayouzhong Qi, Chayouhou Qi, Siwangzi Qi), five counties (Shangdu County, Huade County, Zhuozi County, Liangcheng County, Xinghe County).
