Kaifeng, formerly named Bianliang, is located in the east part of Henan Province with a total area of 6,444 square km. It is 92km long from north to south and 126km long from west to east. Its downtown area occupies 359 square km.
Kaifeng is one of "24 historical and cultural cities" announced by the Chinese Government, one of seven ancient capitals. Kaifeng has both cultural and natural sights.
