Yabuli Ski Resort is the largest ski resort in China with the best facilities and it is the main training base for the Chinese ski team.

Yabuli's winter weather and large amount of snowfall has resulted in the best snow quality in China. The lowest temperature in winter is 44 degrees below zero and the average temperature is 10 degrees below zero. The average snowfall is 20-50cm at lower part of the mountain, 100cm at the top of the mountain. Ski season in Yabuli begins from the middle of November and ends in late March.

Yabuli has varied terrain for skiers of every level. There are 11 primary, intermediate and advanced ski runs. The 500-meter-long beginner trails are creatively designed with technical aids available enabling first timers to have their first try and other beginners to progress. The advanced trail 3080 meters in length set 1374 meters above sea level with the vertical drop of 804 meters that will give expert skiers the challenge they are looking for. The alpine ski run here is the longest in Asia. The 5-kilometer-long cross country runs through the dense forests will allow you to take in the unique scenery.

Yabuli International Ski Resort has 9 lifts covering the whole ski area with a transferring capacity of 1500 person per hour. No waiting is guaranteed. The rise up to the mountain summit commands spectacular view of the snow-blanketed forests, spaced ski terrain and colorful skiers.

The price of a train ticket from Harbin to Yalibu Town is 30 to 50 Yuan commonly. Get off the train and then take a minibus to get to the Windmill Village. One minibus departs every 20 minutes. The fare is 10 Yuan.

3. Food: You can taste the traditional northeast dishes in Yabuli. The dish that is especially worth recommending is Dishanxian. It's absolutely a healthy delicacy. It consists of three types of plants growing from the earth. It's very delicious. There are restaurants in the Windmill Village. In addition, there are some restaurants which are run by local farmers in the Yalibu skiing region. If you have meals in farmer's house, you should sit on the heated brick bed and eat the northeast dishes served in large plates. You will feel very warm and comfortable.

4. Shopping There are many special souvenir shops in Harbin. All kinds of handicrafts are sold in these shops, such as, windmills, redware, crystal, wooden picture, Russia Tawa, doll, etc.. You can also buy various local products of Northeast China like compressed mushroom, edible wild herbs, pollen and honey.

5. Service Facility: The Yalibu Windmill Village offers various skiing courses to travelers. These skiing courses can divided into the primary, intermediate and advanced skiing courses. So, you can find a skiing course which is suitable for yourself. The price is according with the level of the skiing course. You can engage a professional coach. There are many necessary ski tools for hire, such as, ski suit, goggles, etc.. There is a little difference between the prices of skiing and engaging coach on holidays as well as on common days. In here, the common days mean from Monday to Thursday. The weekend is Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The festivals include the Christmas Day (Dec.24-Dec.26), the New Year’s Day (Dec.31-Jan.2) and the Spring Festival (the Eve of Spring Festival to the 7th of the first lunar month).

6. Reference Price: Hiring ski suit: 50 Yuan per person for half a day, 80 Yuan per person for a whole day; Hiring ski goggles: 30 Yuan per person for half a day, 50 Yuan per person for a whole day. In addition, there are many ski articles for hire or for sale, such as, helmet, hat, gloves, armlet, etc.. They are in different qualities and prices.
