"Ice City"--Harbin, is a good vacation resort in the winter and is recognized as the cradle of ice and snow art in China and is famous for its exquisite and artistic ice and snow sculptures.

Sun Island Scenic Resort Area is not only famous for its Eastern Moscow style, but also known as its unique ice scenery. The fabulous Ice Lantern Festival was the forerunner of the current ice festival and is still the best loved activity in people's hearts. Multicolored ice lanterns and snow carvings and exciting ice sports bring people lots of fun. Harbin Ice Festival provides the visitors a completely new world of ice and snow. The best collections of ice artworks are exhibited in three main places: the Sun Island Park, Harbin Ice and Snow World, and Zhaolin Park. Siberian Tiger Park which is adjacent to the Sun Island is built for save and protect endangered purebred Siberian tigers. You can take a car to visit most of the viewing spots there. Its constructions are uniquely charming, not only have different styles of European construction, but also very traditional classical Chinese and modern architecture. Jile Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Heilongjiang. It is still a place of pilgrimage as well as a tourist site today. Known as the Eastern Moscow, some Russian architecture can be found there. The place that reflects the foreign styles best is Central Street (Zhongyang Dajie, the most prosperous pedestrian street in Harbin). St. Sophia Church is the largest Orthodox Church in the Far East and is worth a visit very much.
