Railway:

The Liupanshui Railway Station is located on the Northwest Road of Zhongshan District. Many of the passing trains to Kunming generally stop at Liupanshui, and there are trains from Guiyang and Anshun to Liupanshui city. You can also make for many other big cities by train from here, such as Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Kunming, Chongqing, Wuchang, Chengdu, Zhengzhou and so on and so forth.

The train from Guiyang to Liupanshui city starts in the morning and returns in the afternoon. The one-trip takes only three hours and twenty minutes with a ticket fare of RMB 35 Yuan.

 Highway:

The Liupanshui Bus Station is located on Renminzhonglu (the middle section of People’s Road)with buses heading for any destination in the province. The numbers of runs of buses are as follows:

Liupanshui to Guiyang(passing Zhuzang Town ) starts at 09：40 while a through bus starts at every hour without passing Zhuzang Town.

Liupanshui to Bijie, bus starts at 07：00,08：00,14：00,16：00；

Liupanshui to Weinin, buses start at every hour, the ticket fare is RMB 15 Yuan. It takes half an hour.

Liupanshui to Shaotong, Yunnan, the buses start at 07：30, 07：00, 08：00.

Public transportation

There are 15 lines of public bus ranging from No.1 to No. 15. The ticket fare is RMB one Yuan. If you want to go to the train station, you can take No.5 bus or No.6 bus and get off at the Post and Telecommunications Building or the People’s Hospital, and you won’t miss it after ten minutes’ walk. Of course you can take No.14 bus or No.15 bus to the train station.

Tips:

With post office, telecommunications office, shopping centers and cultural centre around, Zhongshan District is the center of the city which can be listed a big one in the west of Guizhou province. It is also the sphere of your activities, if you want to have a walk and enjoy yourself. But if you don’t want to waste one or tow hours to walk to your destination, you can take a bus. With the help of the guideboard you can get the information about the details of the bus lines.

Taxi

The first charge for a taxi in urban area is RMB two Yuan. The total fare is about RMB 5 Yuan in the daytime while RMB 10 Yuan at night. If you want to go out of the downtown, you can bargain with the driver.
