Railway

There is no railway leading to Bijie City. However, there is railway to Caohai. The trains from Zhaotong (in Yunnan) to Liupanshui (Guizhou), Yibing (Sichuan) to Guiyang and Kunming to Chengdu all pass Caohai. If you go to Caohai, you’d better take train because it is faster and cheaper than taking bus.

Now it is about three hours' ride through the newly-built freeway from Guiyang to Bijie. The carfare from Guiyang to Bijie differs according to the type of vehicle. For example, about RMB55 yuan is charged for riding an Iveco Bus, and RMB20-30 yuan per people is for riding a bus of some other brands. In Guiyang, there are also buses going to Dafang and Weining. Furthermore, by bus you can also get to Luzhou City of Sichuan Province through the 321 national highway and Qujin City of Yunnan Province through the 326 national highway. The address of the Bijie bus station is: No.1, Cuiping Road. The following are some bus routes connecting Bijie and other cities.

Guiyang-Dafang，available from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.，RMB30　　

Guiyang-Weining，start from 9 a.m.，RMB51

Liupanshui-Biejie, available at 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 2 p.m., 4 p.m.

Bijie-Dafang，Jinbei minibus，RMB10

Bijie-Weining，ordinary bus or bus with sleepers，RMB 30-35

There are only several buses, which cover the main streets in Bijie City. These buses are all non-conductor ones (passengers insert the bus fare into a box near the front door of a bus when they get on it).

Taxi

Bijie is not a big city. It takes one or two person RMB3 yuan to take a taxi inside the city, while three to five person for RMB 5 yuan and circular tour for RMB 5 yuan. And the most cars are Xiali and Jili. It’s only 10 minutes’ distance from the coach station to the main Guihua and Weining Street on foot. Other underling taxis cost RMB2 yuan for one person in general.
