Situated in the northeast of Guangxi Province, Hezhou is the conjunction of Hunan Province, Guangdong Province and Guangxi Province. It is the most convenient passage to Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macao from the broad Southwest area, because it faces the former three and with the latter situated at its back. It covers an area of 11,855 square kilometers and governs Babu County, Zhongshan County, Fuchuan County, Zhaoping Borough, altogether 67 villages and towns, with a population of 2,070 thousand.
