Ziba is a popular rice snack in winter with the local people. They use sticky rice as the basic ingredient. The rice is put into water for a while and is then steamed and made into dough with a pestle. The springy dough is processed into round cakes and is dried. After that the ziba is ready. According to the local people, the sticky rice can be soaked in water for more than a month, as long as the water is changed frequently. There are many ways of eating ziba. You can grill it on charcoal fire and eat it with sugar, fry it in oil or cook it in sugar water. You can add some sugar or salt according to taste.
