Chebaling Nationally Designated Nature Reserve is reputed as “the collection of various species like a bright pearl of Nanling”. It is endowed with rich biological resources and the rare animals include South China tiger, sambar, clouded leopard, pangolin, and Sumen gazelle, etc. There are over 2000 kinds of plant, among which the “King of Spruce”—the largest spruce in Guangdong Province is 44 meters high and over 180 years old.

By now over ten tourist programs have been developed with different characteristics. For instance, the Nature Museum, Virgin Forest Exploration, Yao Nationality Village, Wild  Plant Park, Tea and Fruit Garden, and Wild Birds Show.

There are direct autobuses from Shaoguan to Yizi County available at 7:35, 11:35 and 15:35 respectively. The ticket price for the one-hour trip is 11 Yuan one person. You are suggested to order a ticket one day earlier if you plan to go to Chebaling directly from Yizi County by a charter bus. Tourists can also start from Mantangwei village which is three kilometers away from Yizi County and then travel to Chebaling scenic spot on foot or by motorbike.
