Brief Introduction to the City

Jieyang City is located in the south of Guangdong Province. It borders Xingmei to the south, the South China Sea to the south, Shantou and Chaozhou to the east and Shanwo to the west. It has jurisdiction over 3 counties (Jiedong County, Huilai County and Jiexi County) and 1 district (Rongcheng District). It’s also mandated to govern 1 county-level city-Puning City. It covers an area of 4,050,000 square kilometers. It has a population of more than 5,200,000 people. It’s the largest prefecture-level city with the longest history and the largest population in Guangdong Province.
