Yatuo Meijiang is the famous specialty in Xinhui. It is made from of fresh ginger, simon-pure lemon juice, simon-pure pericarpium, granulated sugar, licorice and so on. It tastes crumbly, tasty, a little sweet with acid, proper fragrant and hot. In summer, it can be use to clear heat and promote fluid; in winter, it can be used to expel wind and clearaway cold. Besides, it is very useful to strengthen the stomach and promote indigestion. And it also has a distinct effect to get rid of bus sickness and seasickness. So it is a good choice for the people who always go some places by bus or boat. Yantuo Meijiang has more than one hundred history. One day, the fresh gingers which he bought had been overstocked because of unsalable fruits. He has no choice but to put them into jars. After a short time, he found that all the fresh gingers went moldy but he hesitated to throw them away, then he mixed them with some licorice powder and syrup. And then put them together into a boiler to cook, and then frizzled them up in the sun, lastly made this special Liangguo named Meijiang. Surprisingly, when the fruit came into the market, it was very popular to the old and the young. People here crowed round to buy it. Suddenly, Meijiang became famous in the whole city.
