In Xiantang town, there are more than 30 ancient residences, but the one which was chosen as the Hakka folk museum was built at the turn of Ming and Qing Dynasty. The Hakka folk museum exhibits more than 100 articles for daily use of Hakka with words and pictures descriptions, among which are stone mill, treadle-operated tilt hammer for hulling rice, Eight Trigrams table, square table seating eight and palm steamer, etc.
