Transportation

Thanks to smooth terrain, Wuwei has convenient transport. Wuwei occupied an important position on ancient Silk Road with a reputation of “opening up a road through the broad desert, and controlling the faucal place of the ancient five-districts in the past”. Wuwei, with a well-developed modern tourism, is mainly depended on road transportation and railway transportation. Lanxin Railway line, Ganwu line pass through the city and the China National Highway 312 traverses three counties and one city.

Wuwei has two train stations: Wuwei Train Station and South Train Station of Wuwei. Wuwei Train Station, the site of Wuwei Railway Bureau, is located in Wunan Town. The South Train Station of Wuwei has been the marshalling station of international Lanxin Railway and the terminal of Ganwu electrical route.
