A Brief Introduction to Qingyang
Situated at the junction of Shaanxi province, Gansu province and Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region in the vast land of Northwestern China, Qingyang is a mysterious land. The landscape of Qiyang is unique there are mountains, flat lands, terraced fields, valleys, tableland and ridges. There are totally 12 terraced rice fields that have exceeded 100,000 mu (Chinese unit of area and one mu is 1/15 of a hectare). These fields occupy an area of 3,820,000 mu. The Dongzhi Terraced Rice Field with an area of 13627 mu is a vast expanse of cultivated land which stretches as far as the eye can see.
