Could I use ATM Cards Issued by US Bank In China?

I'll be leaving in two weeks for China. Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Hong Kong and Guilin. Can I used ATM cards isuued by US banks in China? Is it convenient to use ATM in China?

Chinese ATMs accept Visa card and Master card. You can use your US card in China. But better in Bank of China (BOC)'s ATMs.

Yes, ATMs are widly available in China. It's very easy for you to find one in big cities but please be alert of the danger of using ATM in China. There are continual reports of ATM scams including using fake ATM's or other methods to steal the user' card. You had better use the ATM when accompanied and during daytime to minimize the danger.

yes, you can use the card in some banks invested by foreign capital. They are including HSBC and Citi Bank in China. ATM is very easy to find in China's most big cities like Beijing, Shanghai, Xian and other cities.
