There are no set age limits and this will always be a personal decision based on health. However, from my experience I consider it unwise for people over 75 and children under 3 to travel to Tibet. Altitude sickness can have serious effects and older people and the very young could suffer more severely. Two top attractions, the Potala Palace and Drepung Monastery have many steps which many cause difficulty to some senior travelers.
